American Standards
Alpro clean up
When American Standards Limited, a major supplier of sanitary ware launched a new range of “Calista” high quality showers and enclosures, they turned to Alpro Hardware to manufacture a bespoke range of handles for the shower door enclosure.
Working with the Northern branch of the organisation based in Hull, Alpro manufactured to an agreed design both an external pull handle and internal circular knob from polished stainless steel. This design was subsequently modified, and the finished product was installed as a pair of high quality pull handles.
The finished handle product was then supplied as a standard kit comprising fixing bolts and full installation instructions. The boxes were then annotated with the necessary customer product code, along with a bar code for ease of identification, within the customer warehouse.
Keith Parry, Alpro’s Product Manager commented “Here was an example of Alpro Hardware working with a major customer to develop a cost efficient quality product, which then had to be modified to customer requirements indicating the flexible approach of Alpro. To complete the product offering, special packaging and a bar code was required. A prime example of Alpro’s ability to interpret customer requirements and deliver to a tight time frame, within cost constraints”.
