Architectural door hardware is used to secure doors both internally and externally on buildings and thereby enable levels of security consummate with the buildings use. It further enables controlled ingress and egress of buildings, along with ease of opening and closing of doors to ensure that personnel can enter and leave the building at will, when so authorised.
By fitting a lock and accompanying cylinder, various levels of security can be accommodated. The lock cylinder can be “suited” to a master key system, where a master key, along with sub master keys can be cut and distributed to the various levels of management depending on seniority. Thus allowing specific identification of the person using the door.

Panic emergency exit hardware is so designed to be operated in an emergency, such as the threat of a fire and thereby allow the personnel within these areas the opportunity to leave the building in a controlled manner.
