Round Mortice Cylinder Deadlatch 524510 Series

Round mortice cylinder deadlatches offer flexible control of situations and can be used in conjunction with Alpro's range of electric strikes to provide the added option of remote access control.  Designed to operate on doors with 3mm door gaps, the deadlatches can also be operated with the 459 paddle handle (cam plug required).

Deadlatches accept standard 1 5/32" mortice key or thumbturn cylinder.

Specification

The deadlatch is designed to be used with various exit trim, such as a paddle handle. When the handle is operated the latch bolt will retract thereby allowing the door to be opened. However the “dead latching" facility means that when the door is closed, nothing can be inserted into the gap between the door and frame to force the latch bolt and thereby allow unauthorised entry.

  • Industry standard ANSI cut outs
  • Europrofile or round mortice cylinder options
  • Latch hold back facility
  • Latches compatible for use with electric strikes

FAQs

FAQs

Is there a charge for delivery?

Carriage and packing are included in orders over £250.00. A charge of £10.00 is made on lower value orders to cover carriage, packing and insurance. For deliveries to Ireland please speak to the office for pricing.

Do the hookbolts, barbolts etc come complete with faceplates?

No you have to order them separately.

If side loading of the lock is an issue what can I do?

Usually if the lock is under side load there could be a problem with the overall door set up. Advice should be sought from the manufacturer/installer.

How do I work out the handing on my door?

With the door opening towards you, look at which side it is hung/where the hinge is and that denotes whether the door is left or right handed.  Therefore LH hung door requires a RH latch and a RH hung door requires a LH latch.

Do you have any information on CE Marking or CE Marking of Doorsets?

Please refer to our technical section under Standards.
