On track with Alpro

Alpro Architectural Hardware’s access control keypads have been integrated into the security enhancements at Saint Pancras International Station in London, as part of the UK’s most extensive rail refurbishment project in a century.

With an ingress protection rating of IP68, Alpro keypads have demonstrated their durability in the demanding station environment, effectively safeguarding against airborne contaminants such as brake pad particles, commonly found in railway stations, even away from platforms.

Saint Pancras, now a bustling international travel hub, requires precise demarcation between passenger and staff areas, making reliable access control crucial. Alpro’s keypads ensure that only authorised personnel have access to operational zones, thereby enhancing passenger safety.

Constructed from resilient bright aluminium, these vandal-resistant keypads accommodate up to 200 users and are available in self-contained or two-part units, with surface or mortice-mount options. Utilising piezoelectric technology, they boast a sleek, motion-free design, with numbers hard-anodized into the case to prevent wear and tampering.

While deployed internally at Saint Pancras, these keypads are also suitable for external use, offering an ideal solution for space-constrained environments with their slim-line design.

Featuring security plugs for tamper resistance and customisable code lengths ranging from 4 to 8 digits, these keypads offer versatile security options. They include a 2 amp chargeover relay and durable anodized graphics, with timeout functions for code entry and programming.
