Alpro scores with Manchester United
When faced with a safety challenge, Manchester United turned to Alpro Hardware, specialists in supplying access and access control, to find a solution.
The electronic advertising hoardings surrounding the stadium needed to be raised and operational during match days but also required easy removal in case of an emergency to allow the crowd to evacuate onto the football pitch.
Previous methods had been unsuccessful. Alpro recommended using ES7000 hook locks, integrated into the safety protocols. In case of an emergency, these hook locks would receive a signal to release the advertising hoardings, allowing them to drop into specially prepared spaces, ensuring unimpeded access to the playing surface for spectators.
